THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE T. RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITION No.2557 of 2018 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is sole accused in Crime No.12 of 2018 on the file of Ramakuppam Police Station, Chittoor District. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondentState. 3.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner collected amounts from several innocent persons, promising them to obtain loans from SC/ST Corporation. But, he did not provide loan amounts. Hence, considering the nature of allegations, this Court is of the opinion that it is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner. 4.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner-accused is directed to surrender before the concerned Magistrate, who is having jurisdiction and on such surrender, the learned Magistrate shall consider the same on merits preferably on the same day subject to pressure of other work.
