Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he had presented a document to respondents 2 and 3 for the purpose of registration, but respondents 2 and 3 are refusing to receive and process the same without assigning any reasons therefor.
3. The Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents states that respondents 2 and 3 would receive the document presented by the petitioner for the purpose of registration and if they do not wish to register it, they would pass orders under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908 (for short, 'the Act') giving reasons therefor.
4. In view of the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondents 2 and 3 to receive the document presented by the petitioner for the purpose of registration and if they do not wish to register it, they are directed to pass orders under Section 71 of the Act giving reasons therefor and communicate their decision to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
