ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as full-time contingent worker in the then Ghatkesar Gram Panchayat, Rangareddy District (now Medchal-Malkajgiri District) since 1988 and working as such to the satisfaction of his superiors. But the respondents are not taking any action to regularize his services in terms of the judgment dated 11.10.2018 rendered by this Court in W.P.No.36805 of 2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by the judgment dated 11.10.2018 rendered by this Court in W.P.No.36805 of 2018 and contends that appropriate orders be passed directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of his services in terms of the judgment dated 11.10.2018 rendered by this Court in W.P.No.36805 of 2018 and also in terms of the judgment rendered by the Apex Court in SECY., STATE OF KARNATAKA v. UMADEVI1.

Learned Government Pleader for Services appearing for the respondents has not disputed about the applicability of judgment dated 11.10.2018 rendered by this Court in 1 (2006) 4 SCC 1

W.P.No.36805 of 2018 and contends that similar orders be passed in this writ petition also.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the considered view that since the petitioner is working with the respondents since 1988 and he is fully eligible and qualified for regularization of his services, this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of his services strictly in terms of the law laid down by the Apex Court in UMADEVI's case (supra) and also the judgment dated 11.10.2018 rendered by this Court in W.P.No.36805 of 2018. It is made clear that the whole exercise shall be completed within a reasonable period, preferably, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in these writ petitions shall stand closed.
