This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioner, seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the 1st respondent/ Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy District, in considering and disposing of the Statutory Revision in case No.D1/ 4534/ 2018 filed under Section 9 of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, as bad in law and consequently direct the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the aforementioned Statutory Revision.

Heard Ms. N.V.R.Rajya Lakshmi, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri A.Ramakotaiah, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue representing the respondents and perused the record.

It has been contended on behalf of the petitioner that though a Statutory Revision in case No.D/ 4534/ 2018 has been filed under Section 9 of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, before the 1st respondent/ Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy District, challenging the order, dated 04.08.2018, passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Rajendranagar, in Lr.No.C/ 1769/ 2017 in respect of land admeasuring Acs.3.18 guntas in Survey No.7/ 11 and Acs.4.00 guntas in Survey No.7/ E situated at Satamrai Village, Shamshabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, and notices were issued stating that the said Revision was posted for hearing and admission on 29.12.2018, it was not proceeded with on that day. Thereafter, no date is given for hearing. There are also allegations

of demand of bribe against one Babaiah, Ex-Sarpanch of Satamrai village, against whom a case in Crime No.144 of 2012 was registered on the file of RGI Airport Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate.

It is not appropriate to express any opinion with regard to the merits of the Statutory Revision filed before the 1st respondent. It is the right of every citizen to seek expeditious remedy for his/ her grievance, in accordance with law. Since no date is fixed for hearing and adjudicating the Statutory Revision in case No.D1/ 4534/ 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent/ Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy District, filed under Section 9 of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, the 1st respondent/ Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy Disrtrict, is directed to dispose of the aforementioned Statutory Revision, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5 .

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
