THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 22778 of 2019 O R D E R:

Petitioner asserts that his vehicle bearing No.TS 04 UB 7122 was seized by respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise, Warangal Division on the ground of violation of the excise laws.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

As the vehicle of the petitioner was seized by respondent No.2 on the ground of violation of the excise laws, the petitioner is at liberty to submit an application before the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner under Section 34 of the Telangana Excise Act seeking release of the subject vehicle. Thereupon, the said authority shall consider and pass appropriate orders on such application within a period of one week from the date of receipt thereof. Subject to the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall also stand disposed of.
