This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both the parties.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing the annual grade increments in spite of completion of period of punishment imposed by the 2nd respondent vide proceedings dated 27-11-2017 as wholly illegal, arbitrary, unjustified and contrary to their own record and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of Constitution of India and sought consequential direction to the respondents to release three annual grade increments including 20 years special grade increment of the petitioner in the post of Driver forthwith.

Heard Sri Vanam Vishwanatham, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri B.Mayur Reddy, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner contends that he is working as Driver and while he was discharging his duties, the disciplinary authority initiated disciplinary proceedings, dated 27-11-2017 imposing punishment of deferment of one annual grade increment without cumulative effect. His grievance is that even after expiry of the period of punishment, the respondents are not considering his case for release of annual

AKS,J W.P.No.8447 of 2019 grade increments. He also made a representation, dated 05-03-2019, to that effect.

Sri B.Mayur Reddy, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents, submits that the respondents will consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on his representation dated 05-03-2019 within a period of eight weeks. 6.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the representation, dated 05-03-2019, submitted by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
