THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 12504 OF 2015 O R D E R:

The petitioner herein sought for a writ of mandamus for declaring the action of Respondents 3 and 4, namely the Programme Officer and the Extension officer, in not allowing her to discharge her functions as a Senior-mate of Madarpuram Gram Panchayat, Veldurthy Mandal, Kurnool District under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, by succumbing to political pressures, as illegal.

When the matter appeared before me on 27.04.2015, Sri M.S.R. Chandra Murthy, learned Standing Counsel, who has accepted notice on behalf of Respondents 2 and 3, sought for time to secure instructions. Accordingly, he did secure instructions and based thereon, he would submit that since the petitioner has not been attending to the weekly meetings for over a long period of time and she has been asked to attend the meetings for the purpose of undertaking periodical review of the works that are being undertaken and executed, she apprehended that she will not be entertained to duty and on that apprehension, she approached this Court and filed this Writ Petition. It is needless for me to observe that so long as the services of the petitioner have not been either suspended or terminated, she shall not be prevented from carrying on and attending to her work. The Writ Petition accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
