Mukku Venkata Reddy v. State Of Andhra Pradesh,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.23467 of 2011 ORDER:
The grievance of the petitioners was that the police authorities were insisting upon their appearance and were giving oral ultimatums to them not to object to respondent Nos.5 to 15 converting the tank bed and grazing land in Survey Nos.62 and 63 of Ganesunipalli Village, Veligandla Mandal, Prakasam District. They sought a consequential direction to the police authorities not to interfere in any manner with their life, personal liberty and their communal rights over the subject property.
The Sub-Inspector of Police, Veligandla Police Station, Prakasam District, filed a counter-affidavit denying the allegations of the petitioners. He stated that no complaint had been received or registered against the petitioners and therefore, the question of summoning them to the police station did not arise. He further stated that the dispute between the petitioners and unofficial respondent Nos.5 to 15 was predominantly civil in nature and therefore, the police authorities had nothing to do with it.
The aforestated stand of the police authorities is taken on record.
In the light thereof, no interference is called for in this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
