Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With consent of both the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in trying to dispossess the petitioner from the land of an extent of Ac.2.72 cents in Sy.No.133 of Thimmapuram Village, S.Rayavaram Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, even though the Revision Petition filed before the 2nd respondent is pending as illegal, arbitrary and unjust and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the petitioner in respect of the said land."

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in possession of the land in dispute and since the revision filed against the order dated 16.06.2016 passed by the 3rd respondent-Joint Collector-cumSettlement Officer, Visakhapatnam is still pending consideration before the 2nd respondent, a direction may be given to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the revision at the earliest and till such

CPK,J WP_36222_2016 time, possession of the petitioner may be protected since the authorities are trying to dispossess him.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, submits that the cist receipts submitted by the petitioner relate to the year 1960 mentioning patta No.100 for Fasli 1391 and also mentioning patta No.476, which needs detailed verification. 5.

Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner as early as possible. If for any reason, the revision could not be disposed of, the authority shall dispose of the stay application within three weeks. Till such time, status quo as on today to be maintained with regard to property in dispute. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
