This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short "Cr.P.C.") seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.441 of 2016 of Ongole Taluk Police Station, Prakasam District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 120-B, 406 and 420 IPC.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent-State would submit that the Investigating Officer filed a report stating that the complaint was 'false' and on that ground, sought permission of the Magistrate concerned to close the crime. 3.

In view of the submission made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the cause in this criminal petition does not survive for further adjudication.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
