HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 20863 of 2003 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not regularizing the services of the petitioner from the date of his initial appointment i.e., 24.01.1992, as illegal and arbitrary.

None appeared for the petitioner.

Learned standing counsel for the respondent corporation has submitted that the case of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with the rules in existence.

This Court having considered the said submission is of the considered view that the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondent corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of his services. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of his services, if he is working as on today and if his services are not yet regularized, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with the rules, within four weeks.
