Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioners, who are Fair Price Shop Dealers for Shop No. 38 of Somalavandlapalli Village, Talupula Mandal, Ananthapur District and Shop No. 73 of Kalyandurg Village and Mandal, Ananthapur district respectively, approached this Court challenging the suspension of their authorizations by the orders impugned in these Writ Petitions.

A perusal of the impugned orders shows that the authorizations of the petitioners were suspended while issuing show cause notices and the petitioners have submitted their respective explanations. It is pertinent to state that pendency of the 6-A proceedings should not deter the competent authority from conducting enquiry pursuant to the issuance of show cause notices and the Revenue Divisional Officer should have completed the proceedings by now. It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Government Pleader for the respondents that the proceedings have not been completed by the respondents.

In the circumstances, these Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the respondent authorities to conduct enquiry into the allegations levelled against the petitioners and pass final orders thereon within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording due opportunity to the petitioners.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petitions shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
