HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.43868 of 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking to call for the records relating to Crime No.14 of 2016 of the 3rd respondent police station and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
The case of the petitioners is that the 4th respondent has lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent, which was registered as Crime No.14 of 2016 alleging that her marriage was done with 1st petitioner/A-1 on 15.05.2013 and her parents gave cash of Rs.15.00 lakhs, 16 tulas of gold and other household articles as dowry to A-1 and his parents. After the marriage, she joined the company of 1st petitioner and during their lawful wedlock, they were blessed with a son. Thereafter, the petitioners started harassing her both physically and mentally to get additional dowry. The grievance of the petitioners is that on the basis of above complaint, the 3rd respondent is trying to arrest them.

Considering the grievance of the petitioners, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.14 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible, and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners. 5.
