HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. AMARNATH GOUD WRIT PETITION No. 8724 of 2019 ORDER:
1) The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not restoring the electricity power supply along with electricity meter to the premises of the petitioner bearing No.13-2-318/ 3, Aramghar Colony, Dhoolpet, Hyderabad, as illegal, arbitrary and violation of principles of natural justice.
2) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri R.Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
3) It is the case of the petitioner that the power supply was disconnected to the premises of the petitioner and the same is not restored despite there are no arrears of charges, there is no allegation of pilferage of electric energy and no action is being initiated by the respondents against the petitioner.
4) Without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to restore the electricity connection along with installation of electric meter to the premises of the petitioner, provided there are no arrears of electricity charges and there are no allegations of
pilferage of electric energy. Restoration of the power supply and installation of the electricity meter shall be made as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
5) Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs. __________________ T. AMARNATH GOUD, J 29.04.2019 gkv
