THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 7348 OF 2018 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed questing the action of respondent Nos.1 to 5 in granting input subsidy to respondent Nos.6 and 7. The petitioners state that respondent Nos.6 and 7 are not entitled for grant of input subsidy as they do not own any land in the village. They submit that though they filed an application on 14.09.2017 before the Tahsildar, Dhone Mandal, Kurnool District under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (for short 'the Act) seeking information with respect to grant of input subsidy to respondent Nos.6 and 7, the same has not been furnished. Hence, this writ petition.

The application, dated 14.09.2017, does not indicate the specific assertion of the petitioners with respect to respondent Nos.6 and 7 owning lands in the Village. Even assuming that such information is not furnished, the petitioners have to approach the appellate authority and seek remedy available under the Act. In the absence of specific material to support the case of the petitioners that respondent Nos.6 and 7 do not own any land, the writ petition cannot be entertained.

Hence, the writ petition is closed, giving liberty to the petitioners to obtain relevant material and take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.

Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________
