THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.11620 of 2015 ORDER:

The writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not declaring the result of the Ph.D., programme pursued by the petitioner at the first respondent University, inspite of the viva voce having been completed on 30.01.2015 as arbitrary and illegal, and consequently direct the respondents to forthwith take steps to declare the results in respect of the petitioner's Ph.D., programme.

Heard and perused the records.

The main grievance of the petitioner is that though viva voce is completed on 30.01.2015 for the Ph.D., programme pursued by the petitioner, the respondents have not declared the results of the petitioner without any reasons. He further submits that he made a representation, dated 30.03.2015, requesting the respondents to declare the results of the Ph.D., programme pursued by the petitioner. In view of the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation, dated 30.03.2015, of the petitioner to declare the results of the Ph.D., programme pursued by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any shall also stand disposed of.
