Heard Sri I.Koti Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is the fair price shop dealer of shop No.43 of Konduru village, Atchampeta Mandal of Guntur district. On 18-9-2014, a show cause notice was issued to him making certain general allegations and simultaneously, his authorisation was suspended.

The petitioner submitted an explanation to the show cause notice on 28-9-2014. So far no enquiry has been initiated against the petitioner.

3. Obviously, the order of suspension was passed on trivial allegations and the duration of the suspension is for an indefinite period. The order of suspension has to necessarily disclose the period of suspension and the suspension of authorisation cannot be for an indefinite period.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, setting aside the order of suspension dated 18-9-2014 passed by the 2nd respondent-RDO suspending the authorisation of the petitioner's fair price shop and directing the respondents to continue the petitioner as the fair price shop dealer. This order, however, does not preclude the 2nd respondent from conducting an enquiry and passing final orders in regard to the charges mentioned in the show cause notice. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs. ___________________ R.KANTHA RAO, J.
