Heard the counsel for petitioner, and Sri M.S.R. Chandra Murthy, learned Standing Counsel for MGNREGS, for respondent nos.2 and 3.

The petitioner's grievance is that he had preferred an appeal on 29.08.2014 before the 2nd respondent assailing the order dt.25.08.2014 of the 3rd respondent, removing him from the post of Field Assistant, and that the said Appeal has not been decided by the 2nd respondent. 3.

Since it is the duty of 2nd respondent to decide the appeal preferred by petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal dt.29.08.2014, filed by the petitioner challenging the order dt.25.08.2014 of the 3rd respondent, if not already disposed of, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the said appeal dt.29.08.2014, filed by petitioner challenging the order dt.25.08.2014 of the 3rd respondent, if not already disposed of, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. No order as to costs. 5.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
