O R D E R :

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A-1 and A-4 under section 438 of Cr.P.C., seeking for grant of anticipatory bail in Crime No. 231 of 2016 of Manchal Police Station, Rachakonda district, Telangana State, registered for the offences punishable under section 147, 323, 324, 504 read with section 149 of I.P.C. and section 3 [1] [r] [s] of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities [Amendment] Act, 2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/A-1 and A-4 and the learned Public Prosecutor for the respondent/State.

3. The report shows that specific allegations are made against the petitioner attracting section 3 [1] [r] [s] of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities [Amendment] Act, 2015.

4. In the above circumstances, Section 18 of the Act stands as a hurdle for granting bail to the petitioners/A-1 and A-4.

5. Considering the above, this Criminal Petition is dismissed. The petitioners/A-1 and A-4 can surrender before the concerned court and seek regular bail.

6. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
