HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 17002 of 2001 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of certiorari calling for the record relating to and connected with the proceedings dated 24.07.2001 issued by the respondent and set aside the same as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard Sri P. Ganga Rami Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Ms. P. Sarada, learned counsel for the respondent. 3.

It has been contended by the petitioner that he was appointed as a Lecturer in Radiology Department of the respondent Institute on 17.03.1999 and, thereafter, he was selected and appointed as an Assistant Professor vide proceedings dated 25.04.2000. While so, while discharging his duties, he was terminated from service vide proceedings dated 24.07.2001 with one month salary in lieu of notice. Questioning the same, the present writ petition is filed. 4.

A perusal of the impugned order would disclose that it is a case of termination simpliciter and as the petitioner was rightly terminated from service, in terms of the appointment orders dated 25.04.2000, no illegality can be attributed in issuing the impugned order. Therefore, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. 5.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
