Heard counsel for petitioner, the Government Pleader for Endowments takes notice for respondents 1 & 2, and Sri K.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Standing Counsel takes notice for 3rd respondent.

Petitioner is employed as a Junior Assistant in the 3rd respondent-Religious Institution. His case was recommended for promotion to the post of Senior Assistant by the 3rd respondent to 2nd respondent vide letter No.160/SPJRSD/2016, dt.09.12.2017. Petitioner contends that in spite of the same, the 2nd respondent has not taken any action.

The Government Pleader for Endowments appearing for respondents 1 & 2, and the Standing Counsel appearing for 3rd respondent state that the 2nd respondent will consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Senior Assistant after taking into account the recommendation of the 3rd respondent in accordance with the applicable rules, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner. 4.

In view of the said submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Senior Assistant, taking into account the recommendation of the 3rd respondent

and in accordance with the applicable rules, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
