ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to and connected with the Award dated 12.9.2007 passed in I.D.No.223 of 2004 by the Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Ananthapur, and to quash or set aside the same by holding it as arbitrary, illegal and consequently to direct the respondent-Corporation to reinstate the petitioner into service with continuity of service, back wages and attendant benefits.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is on the verge of retirement and therefore, the question of granting relief of reinstatement does not arise. He further submits that the petitioner is entitled to the benefits for the service rendered by him prior to the date of removal. Having regard to the said submission, if the petitioner has not received the benefits for the service rendered by him prior to the date of removal, the respondent-Corporation is directed to pay the said benefits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
