THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.10309 OF 2005
O R D E R
This writ petition was filed by the Sarpanch of Mudivarthi Gram Panchayat, Vidavalur Mandal, Nellore District, assailing the proceedings dated 11.04.2005 issued by the District Panchayat Officer, Nellore, withdrawing her check issuing power. By order dated 08.06.2005, this Court granted interim suspension of the impugned proceedings.
No counter affidavit has been filed by any of the respondents despite the lapse of over a decade. In any event, as the term of the petitioner-Sarpanch would have come to an end long ago, the cause in this writ petition is rendered purely academic. The writ petition is therefore dismissed on this short ground. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
