THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SEETHARAMA MURTI Writ Petition No.7442 of 2018 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed complaining against the action of the respondents 2 & 3 in calling the petitioner frequently to their office for the purpose of some enquiry and threatening the petitioner to settle the matter with the 4th respondent without any authority of law. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a petty businessman and has taken over the business of his father and that the allegations being made by the 4th respondent against the petitioner are all false and that he is not involved in any offence.
Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the 4th respondent lodged a report with A.S.Nagar Police Station, on 12.03.2018, and that on receipt of the said report, a case in Crime No.134 of 2018 was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 376, 420, 323 & 506 read with 34 IPC and that investigation was taken up. Learned counsel for the petitioner, in reply, would submit that after the filing of this writ petition, the crime was registered that too on a false report lodged by the 4th respondent.
Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the police officer concerned to complete the investigation in the above said crime as expeditiously as possible, however, in strict accordance with the procedure established by law and file a final report. It is made clear that the petitioner shall extend necessary co-operation to the investigating officer during the course of investigation into the afore-stated crime.
There shall be no order as to costs.
