When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-University submits that the issue raised in this writ petition has been resolved by the respondent vide proceedings dated 31.10.2008, and the entire terminal benefits of the petitioner were paid by duly taking into consideration the age of superannuation of the petitioner as 60 years. The learned Counsel for the petitioner has not disputed the above submission. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the cause in this writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
