Petitioners are aggrieved by the orders passed by the Land Reforms Tribunal on 11.04.2016. Against the decision of the Land Reforms Tribunal, an appeal shall lie before the Land Reforms Appellate Tribunal. Without availing the said remedy of appeal, this writ petition is filed. No reasons are assigned as to why the petitioners have not availed the said remedy and straight away invoked the jurisdiction of this Court.

It is not the case of the petitioners that the Land Reforms Appellate Tribunal is not competent to deal with the matter. Infact on going through the order impugned in this writ petition, it is seen that said decision is made in pursuant to the direction issued by this Court directing the Land Reforms Tribunal to consider the issue and pass orders.

Thus, granting liberty to the petitioners to avail the remedy of appeal, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Liberty is also granted to the petitioners to file an application for grant of stay of the decision of the Land Reforms Tribunal and it is for the appellate Tribunal to consider such application. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
