This writ petition is filed questioning the orders passed by the Employees Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi, vide A.T.A.No.196(1)/2001, dated 14.02.2007, in confirming the orders passed by the first respondent, dated 02.03.2001, in calling the records and to set aside the same and further sought a declaration that the petitioner and its employees can waive their rights under the Employees Provident Fund Act, 1952, by an agreement and that the first respondent has no power to reopen the orders passed on 26.11.1999 by its predecessor. 2.

On 22.11.2017, as there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, the matter was posted to today under the caption "For Dismissal". Today, when the matter was taken up in the morning session, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. As such, the matter has been passed over. Even in the afternoon session, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, it is reasonable to presume that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing its cause in the writ petition.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed for default. 4.
