ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue a Writ, Order or direction more one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents in releasing the vehicle allowances of the petitioner from September, 2017 to May, 2018, total an amount of Rs.2,97,000/- due to the petitioner is highly illegal, arbitrary, malafide and unjust and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems just and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri Mohd.Ghulam Rasool, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Services-II appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that he is working as Tahsildar in the office of the 5th respondent and is entitled for vehicle allowance from September, 2017 to May, 2018, which amounts to Rs.2,97,000/-. His grievance is that though he submitted bills, the respondent authorities are not releasing the said vehicle allowance. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 20-03-2019 to the respondent-authorities to release the vehicle allowance to which he is entitled to. But the respondents neither passed orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner nor released the vehicle allowance.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2019. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the representation submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law.

Having considered the submissions of learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 20-03-2019 and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
