HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION NO:14824 OF 2009 ORDER:

1. This writ petition is filed challenging the notification issued under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, dated 10.7.2009 and its consequential proceedings.

2. It is averred in the affidavit that the Government has issued the notification impugned proposing to acquire the lands of the petitioners for the public purpose viz., Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad Sujala Sravanthi project (Godavari project) and Water Treatment Plant. It is also averred tat the Government lands are available in and around the lands that are proposed to be acquired.

3. When this matter has come up for hearing,, the learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the project, for which the lands in acquisition are proposed to be acquired, is now shifted to some place other than the place notified in the notification and therefore, no further orders are necessary in this petition.

4. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of as not pressed. No order as to costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
