ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Medical Health and Family Welfare appearing for respondent No.1 and learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.2 to 4.

Petitioner-Organization has entered into a contract with the respondent-Nizam Institute of Medical Science for sanitation work for a period of two years from 01.02.2018 to 31.01.2020. Thereafter, on a representation made by the petitioner, the respondent-NIMS has extended the contract period upto 31.05.2020. Subsequently, the petitioner has given another representation dated 08.06.2020 for further extension, but the same has not been considered by the respondentNIMS and it has conducted auction. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that since the term of the contract has expired and a new contractor has also been appointed, no relief can be granted for continuing the contract of the petitioner.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner is entitled for concession of monthly payment on account of the covid pandemic.

This Court takes judicial notice of the fact that even in respect of the Bank and other Institutions, the respective State Governments have extended various concessions with respect to various charges and amounts to be paid.

Under these circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-NIMS to consider the representation of the petitioner with respect to grant of concessions regarding payment of the amounts agreed under the contract, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
