HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION NO.17341 OF 2003 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner.

From the record, it is noticed by this Court that the petitioner is challenging the decision taken by the 1st respondent in 110th meeting held on 31.07.1997, whereby the post of Technical Store Keeper is not included in the feeder posts along with Workshop Supervisor/Technical Assistant for promotion to the post of Workshop Foreman in National Institute of Technologies, Warangal. A perusal of the record further discloses that the petitioner was 49 years at the time of filing this writ petition and, as on today, the petitioner must be aged around 65 years and must have retired from service. Since the petitioner has already retired from service, his challenge in the present writ petition would be of no consequence. Therefore, this Court is of the considered view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
