This writ petition was filed aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent authorities in closing the bore well dug without permission by the 5th respondent in Survey No.31/1 of Ammavaripeta Village, Santhipuram Mandal, Chittoor District.

2. It was the case of the petitioner that the District Collector, Chittoor District, had instructed the Mandal Revenue Officer, Santhipuram, to take necessary action in the matter under his letter dated 06.10.2003 and give a suitable reply to the legal notice addressed by the petitioner within a stipulated time.

3. By interim order dated 06.06.2005, this Court directed the respondent authorities to consider the representations dated 13.08.2003 and 03.06.2002 filed by the petitioner within four weeks and also to take immediate action in the matter as per the direction of the District Collector, Chittoor District, under his letter dated 06.10.2003.

4. Neither Sri G. Allabaksh, learned counsel for the petitioner, nor the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue is in a position to state as to what steps were taken pursuant to the above interim order.

5. As the interim order passed by this Court had the effect of redressing the grievance of the petitioner raised in the writ petition and the authorities were required thereunder to take appropriate action in the matter, this writ petition is closed making the interim order absolute. It shall be open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law in future if warranted.

6. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
