Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Telangana) for the respondents. 2.
Petitioner claims to be Freedom Fighter and on his contribution to struggle for Independence, the Union of India granted him pension in the year 2004. In the year 2008, he filed application for sanction of agricultural land under Freedom Fighters' Quota. On verification, it was found that huge extent of land was available for allotment. Alleging inaction on his application and that no land is allotted to him till date, this Writ Petition is filed.

In support of the claim that proposals were initiated, petitioner placed reliance on Ex.P1, which is a tabulated statement reflecting the name of the petitioner also. It is not explained as to how this page has become part of the proposals and when such proposals were initiated. Learned counsel for the petitioner has expressed his inability to secure the full text of the document. There is no other material to show that his application was processed to allot him land.

At this stage, learned Assistant Government Pleader also submits that Mellachervu Mandal is no more part of Nalgonda District but formed part of Suryapet District. There is no other material to show that the petitioner's application was processed but no land is allotted. Hence, no direction as sought for can be granted.

Thus, leaving it open to the petitioner to make fresh application to the District Collector, Suryapet with supporting documents requesting to allot him land under the Freedom Fighters' Quota, this Writ Petition is disposed of. It is needless to observe that as and when such application is made, the District Collector shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. ____________________ (P.NAVEEN RAO, J) 2nd April 2018 RRB
