THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C.PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 20888 of 2016 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.

The present writ petition is filed with the following prayer: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioner herein prays that the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent No.3 in investigating the case and filing the charge sheet in Crime No.22 of 2015, dated 02.03.2015 on the file of G.D.Nellore Police Station, Chittoor District as erroneous, arbitrary and violative of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct respondent No.3 to complete the investigation and direct to file the charge sheet immediately in the interest of justice and pass necessary order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit.'

At the time of argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the crime was registered on 02.03.2015, till date the police authorities are neither arresting the accused nor investigating the case. Therefore, seeks a direction to be given to the police to complete the investigation at the earliest and file a final report.

In view of the above submission, the present Writ Petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to file a final report in Crime No.22 of 2015 of G.D.Nellore Police Station, Chittoor District, in accordance with law, within a reasonable time. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
