THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.K.JAISWAL CRIMINAL PETITION NO.12004 OF 2016 ORDER:

The Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in CC.SR.No.163 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Jammalamadugu Urban, Kadapa District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/accused No.1 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.1 requested to dispose of the petition giving liberty to avail remedies available under the Code of Criminal Procedure.

In that view of the matter, the Criminal Petition is dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner/accused No.1 to avail remedies available under the Code of Criminal Procedure including filing of discharge petition, if he is so advised.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
