Aggrieved by the order dated 21.6.2016 passed by the Chief Information Commissioner in Complaint No.39069/CIC-MR/2015 in refusing to furnish the information sought by the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

From the impugned order it could be seen that as the information sought for by the petitioner relates to personal information of the officer and has no relationship with any public activity or public interest, the Chief Information Commissioner, relying on the decision of the Apex Court in SRI GIRISH R.DESHPANDE vs. CIC AND OTHERS (SLP (Civil) No.27734/2012 dated 3.10.2012, dismissed the complaint filed by the petitioner. The leaned counsel for the petitioner could not point out any legal infirmity in the impugned order. Hence, I do not find any merit in the writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
