ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not paying the group insurance policy amount pertaining to the deceased-husband of the petitioner as arbitrary, illegal, and consequently to direct the 1st respondent to pay the policy amount to the petitioner.
Heard Sri Palle Nageswar Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri Katta Laxmi Prasad, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondentinsurance company. The husband of the petitioner was a member of the 3rd respondent society and consequent upon his death, the petitioner was claiming the insurance amount. The members of the 3rd respondent society were all insured by the 1st respondent and as per the policy, the husband of the petitioner was entitled to Rs.50,000/- and additional amount of Rs.15,000/-.
When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported by the learned counsel on either side that the matter has been
compromised between the parties. Both the learned counsel also filed a joint memo dated 10.04.2018 to that effect. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is closed in terms of the joint memo dated 10.4.2018. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
