THE HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No.2473 of 2019 ORDER :

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.174 of 2018 of Kothagudem III Town Police Station, Kothagudem District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 307 IPC, Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and Section 3(1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 2015.

It appears that a prima facie case is made out against the petitioners/A.1 to A.6. This is a matter, which requires investigation by the police. Therefore, I am not inclined to quash the proceedings at this stage.

Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the criminal petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Officer to proceed with the investigation and shall not take any coercive steps against the petitioners till completion of the investigation and submission of the charge sheet. Further, the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation of the case. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ______________ G. SRI DEVI, J 6th June 2019.
