This Writ Petition is filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief: "declaring the inaction of the respondent nos. 2 and 3 in considering the applications/representations of the petitioners dts.20-2-2017 for renewal of lease in respect of shop nos. 13 and 14 of shopping complex of Kothavalasa Gramapanchayat (V&M) Vizianagaram District as illegal, arbitrary, and violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to renew the lease for further period of 3 years."

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Government Pleader for respondents and and Sri Ravi Cheemalapati, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3-Municipality.

The only grievance of the petitioners is non-consideration of their application/representation, dated 20.02.2017, said to have been submitted for renewal of lease in respect of Shop Nos.13 and 14 of shopping Complex of Kothavalasa Gram Panchayat. 4.
Learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3 submits that though the auction was scheduled to be held on 27.03.2017, the same has not been conducted because of certain reasons. 5.
According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, the said application/representation, dated 20.02.2017, is still pending consideration before the respondent Gram Panchayat and he
requested that the same may be directed to be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

Recording the said submission, without expressing any opinion on merits demerits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the application/representation, dated 20.02.2017, said to have been submitted by the petitioners within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. Till the said application is considered, status quo with regard to the possession shall be maintained.
