Petitioners claim that earlier though house pattas were granted to them, as no proper amenities were available, petitioners could not occupy and construct the houses. Petitioners now seek that since they are also eligible for assignment of 2 BHK houses which the State is now constructing, an application is made by the petitioners for such allotment. But their application is not processed.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions submit that petitioners are willing to surrender earlier land allotted to them, in the event of allotting 2 BHK houses. 4.

The record would disclose that on 24.06.2017 representation was made to the District Collector, Ranga Reddy District, acknowledged by the Office of the District Collector. That being so, the Writ Petition is disposed of, without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the District Collector, to examine the claim of the petitioners and inform suitably to the petitioners about their eligibility for allotment of 2 BHK houses or imposing of any condition in the event of decision taken to allot them the houses. A decision be taken and communicated to the petitioners within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

- 3 - Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
