2017-04-04A Ramalingeswara Rao2 pages

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 11840 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of respondent Nos.2 to 4 in not permitting the petitioner to organise procession on the eve of Sri Rama Navami on 05.04.2017 from 5.00 p.m. onwards from Devarakota Temple in Nirmal Town, Adilabad District in spite of submission of representation, dated 22.03.2017. The learned Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of written instructions, submits that the petitioner wants to conduct procession covering the community hyper sensitive areas and Nirmal Town is a communally sensitive place. Keeping in view the same, the respondents proposed an alternative route and confined the time limit from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m.

The proposed alternative route is acceptable to the petitioner, but in view of hot summer, they want the timings to be modified. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of and the timings proposed by the respondents from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m. are modified to 3.00 to 5.30 p.m.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________ A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO,J Dt:04.04.2017 Note: Issue cc today.
