This Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the 3rd respondent in detaining the petitioner's daughter Kum. A. Tejasvi Menon on 28.11.2019, as illegal and in violation of the Prospectus of the college authorities at page No. 53. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent university Sri Ch. Jagannatha Rao.

The petitioner's daughter is not eligible to be promoted to the 2nd semester for the academic year 2019-20 in the 3rd respondent college, as the attendance is less than the requisite permissible limits of 65% {see Akilesh Lunani v. Principal, Sir C.R.Reddy Autonomous College, Eluru reported in (2000(4) ALD 630)}. The Writ Petition is therefore, dismissed. No costs.
