ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/R1 seeking to quash the proceedings in D.V.C.No.21 of 2013 on the file of Special Judicial Magistrate of First Class (Excise Court), Ongole, against him.

2. The second respondent herein filed aforesaid DVC against her husband and the relatives of her husband alleging that all the respondents used to harass her by demanding additional dowry and by abusing in filthy language and beating her.

3. In view of the allegations mentioned in the complaint and also the nature of proceedings, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the presence of petitioner/R1 before the trial Court is dispensed with except on the dates whenever his presence is insisted by the trial Court and he shall be represented by his counsel on all hearing dates.

4. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
