This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed alleging interference by respondents 4 to 9 with the personal life and liberty of the petitioner. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents 1 and 3 to

6. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. Since this Court is not going into the merits of the case, there is no necessity to issue notice to unofficial respondents.

The case of the petitioner is that she has been living with her three minor children, being deserted by her husband, at Vodarevu Village, Chirala Mandal of Prakasam District. It is her grievance that respondents 7 to 9, who are working as ASI and Police Constables respectively and attached to the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Guntur District, are regularly visiting her home during late nights, attributing some offences against her and abusing her by touching her caste. Aggrieved by the said action of respondents 7 to 9, the present Writ Petition is filed. The learned AGP, on instructions, denies the allegations made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioner without following due process of law. If, for any reason, the respondents intend to take any action against the

petitioner, the same shall be in accordance with the procedure established under law.

Miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
