ORDER
This writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "to issue appropriate order or orders, direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of 1st and 2nd respondents in not releasing the compensation for the lands acquired for their benefit as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and pass such other order or orders".

The petitioners state that though the Government had acquired their lands and allotted to Singareni Collieries Company Limited, i.e., the first and second respondents, the compensation amount has not been paid to them. They further state that similarly placed persons, by name Sri Kudumula Mangaiah and others, have filed W.P.No.20602 of 1995, wherein this Court, by order dated 25.10.1997, directed the petitioners therein to approach the District Collector, Khammam, for payment of compensation in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.1307 dated 23.12.1993 and that after due process, the respondents have paid compensation to them. 3.
Respondents 1 and 2 filed counter stating that as per the directions of the Joint Collector, the respondents have paid ex-gratia to the three petitioners in W.P.No.20602 of 1995 and rejected the claims of the remaining petitioners therein.

In the circumstances, following the order dated 20.10.1997 in W.P.No.20602 of 1995 and for the reasons therein, this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the petitioners to approach the third
MSKJ,J W.P.No.18109 of 2007 respondent-Joint Collector for payment of compensation in terms of G.O.Ms.No.1307 dated 23.12.1993. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
