HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. AMARNATH GOUD WRIT PETITION No.9648 of 2019 ORDER :

The petitioners are unemployed and eking out their livelihood by doing petty businesses. Accordingly, they made arrangements under self-employment schemes and approached the respondent Banks under the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) Scheme announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on 08.04.2015 providing financial assistance in the form of loans to the needy citizens. With this background, the petitioners approached the respondent Banks requesting to grant relief under the above Scheme in its true letter and spirit. As no action has been taken on the said applications/representations of the petitioners and the same are pending with the respondent Banks, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

Having heard both sides, this Court is of the considered view that it is just and proper if the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent Banks to consider the said applications/representations of the petitioners for providing necessary financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) Scheme in its true letter and spirit in order to fulfil the requirements of the said Scheme, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

TA, J W.P.No.9648 of 2019 With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
