The present Writ Petition is filed for the following relief. "To issue a Writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents and particularly respondents 4 and 6 to assist and protect the petitioner and his instrumentalities to enjoy the peaceful possession, occupation and cultivation of his lands in Survey Nos.493/42 and 493/14 both in Venukonda village, Gram Panchayat and mandal, admeasuring Ac.2-59 cents and Ac.2.12 cents respectively, Survey No.493/42 bounded on the North: land of Shaik Basheer, South: land of B. Govind and Basheer Bee, East: Masjid Manyam and West: Donka, Survey No.493/14 bounded on the north by land of Shaik Sattar Saheb, South by Donka, East: Masjid Babulal and West by Shaik Basheer Bee and Shaik Azeez."

A perusal of the above relief shows that the petitioner seeks assistance of the respondents 4 and 6 in order to protect his property. If it is a private patta land, it is for the petitioner to protect the property and if there is any threat he can take appropriate proceedings on the civil side as well as criminal side, but no Writ can be issued for the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner to pursue other remedies, if he is so advised. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
