Petitioner claims to be working as Senior Assistant in Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (2nd respondent). Petitioner and others submitted a representation on 03.02.2017 requesting to consider them for promotion as per their seniority, when Dr.Y.S.R.Horticultural University was existing, as the University covering the entire undivided State of Andhra Pradesh. Ignoring their claim, orders were passed on 19.04.2017 granting promotions to respondents 4 to 6. Alleging inaction on the said representation and granting promotion to their juniors and not granting promotion to the petitioner, this writ petition is filed. 3.

Since petitioner claims that no orders are passed on the representation dated 03.02.2017, learned counsel for the petitioner requests to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to pass orders on the said representation.

Having regard to the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Registrar, Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (2nd respondent) to examine the claim of the petitioner and to pass orders, as warranted by law. It is made clear that there is no expression of opinion on merits of the contentions urged and all the contentions urged in this writ petition are left open to the petitioner to agitate in appropriate proceedings. The order shall be passed and communicated to the

- 3 - petitioner by assigning due reasons, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
