HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.1595 of 2013 ORDER :
The petitioners/accused filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1667 of 2012 on the file of XI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Secunderabad, wherein, the Police have charge-sheeted them for the offence under Section 506 of I.P.C.
2. When the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for petitioners Sri R.Ashok would submit that the 1st petitioner/accused has been residing at Dubai, whereas 2nd and 3rd petitioners are residing at Hyderabad, and in view of business commitments of 1st petitioner, in case the criminal case is prolonged for a long period, it would cause any amount of inconvenience to him, and therefore, a direction may be given to the trial Court to dispose of the case within a reasonable period and all the petitioners/accused are ready to face the trial and indicate their defence stand.
3. Learned Public Prosecutor reported no objection for this submission.
4. In view of the above submission, the trial Court is directed to dispose of C.C.No.1667 of 2012 on merits expeditiously, preferably within six months from the date of receipt of this order. 5.
The criminal petition is disposed of accordingly. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
