This writ petition was filed seeking a direction to the respondent authorities not to dispossess the petitioner from his lands in Sy.Nos.176/4, 176/5 and 176/6 of Damineedu Village, Tirupati (Rural) Mandal.

The Mandal Revenue Officer, Tirupati (Rural) Mandal, filed a counter-affidavit in March 2006, wherein he specifically denied that the petitioner was ever granted any rough patta in respect of the subject lands or was in possession thereof. He further stated that the subject lands were classified as Government Anadeenam lands and vested in the Government. The writ petitioner was stated never to have been in possession and enjoyment over the subject lands at any point of time. Despite the categorical statements made by the Mandal Revenue Officer, Tirupati (Rural) Mandal, in his counter-affidavit, the petitioner did not choose to file a

reply rebutting the averments therein.

As the only grievance sought to be canvassed in this writ petition was the alleged proposal on the part of the respondent authorities to dispossess the petitioner from the subject lands and as the respondent authorities have denied the very possession of the petitioner over the subject lands, no adjudication is called for in this writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. This order shall however not preclude the petitioner from seeking suitable relief before the appropriate civil forum. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
